Two Scottish Parliamentary Constituencies cover the area of North Ayrshire - Cunninghame North Constituency, and the Cunninghame South Constituency.  In addition, both Constituencies fall in the West of Scotland Region.

Elections to the Scottish Parliament are normally held ever 4 years,


Cunninghame North Constituency


The Cunninghame North Constituency falls wholly within the boundaries of North Ayrshire.  You can view maps of the Scottish Parliamentary Constituencies and Regions on the website of the Boundary Commission for Scotland, the body responsible for undertaking periodic reviews of Scottish Parliamentary boundaries and making recommendations to Ministers thereon.  The Boundary Commission's website includes information and reports on all reviews of parliamentary boundaries undertaken by the Commission.

The Chief Executive of North Ayrshire Council is Returning Officer for elections in the Cunninghame North Constituency and is responsible for their conduct.


Cunninghame South Constituency


The Cunninghame South Constituency falls wholly within the boundaries of North Ayrshire.  You can view maps of the Scottish Parliamentary Constituencies and Regions on the website of the Boundary Commission for Scotland.
