Councillor Davina McTiernan was elected as an SNP representative for the
Stevenston Ward at the May 2017 Local Government Elections. Councillor
McTiernan sits on the Licensing Committee and Board, the Local Development Plan
Committee, the Police & Fire & Rescue Committee, the Three Towns
Locality Partnership and is a substitute member of both the Appeals Committee
and the Staffing & Recruitment Committee.
Councillor McTiernan was educated at Kyleshill Primary, Saltcoats and
Ardrossan Academy and has a life-long attachment to Ayrshire. She worked
for C&J Clarks International as a head designer doing feasibility
studies and opening new stores all over Scotland. Her experience in retail and
customer service lead to the post of West of Scotland Advertising Manager for
Pearl and Dean.
Beyond politics Councillor McTiernan has a keen interest in travel, theatre
and the cinema.
