Councillor Ellen McMaster was elected at the May 2017 Local Government Elections and now represents the Ardrossan and Arran Ward as an Independent Councillor.

 Councillor McMaster Chairs the Arran Locality Partnership.  She sits on the Planning Committee & Local Review Body, the Local Development Plan Committee, the Police & Fire & Rescue Committee and the Three Towns Locality Partnership.  She represents North Ayrshire Council on the Arran Economic Forum, Arran Ferry Committee, Brodick Country Park Joint Committee, Clyde Ferry Users Group, North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership Board.  In addition, Councillor McMaster is Chair of the Clyde, Kintyre and Islands Ferry Stakeholder Group and Chair of the North Ayrshire Council Corporate Equalities Group.
